Heather Poet-JohnsonParagon Builders was the general contractor for our 2010 project to replace a poor 1960s addition on our 1931 Spanish Colonial Revival style home. Our intent was to have the replacement match the look and feel of the original home within the footprint of the removed addition. It was a tremendous success in the most impressive way: visitors now cannot distinguish the new from the original parts of our home.
Steve Paul is precise and detailed but easy to work with. He brought good ideas to the project in addition to our architect’s plans and specifications. His eye is equally focused on the quality of the work and the long-term value to the client while remaining true to his original bid and the ongoing budget. We had notable examples where Steve became our strong advocate with subcontractors to get the job done exactly right. We have complete confidence in his unbiased opinions and consider him a friend to this day.
Steve Paul and his team at Paragon builders have worked with me now for over 6 years on both my personal residence and rental property ranging from important maintenance and minor or major repair items to a large scale remodel where he built new walls, waterfalls, a hill-side pool and spa, wide-spread masonry and stone applications along with a fundamental redevelopment of a 180 degree view patio.
He is my go-to guy when I have a problem no matter the size of the job at all times. I trust him with full access and keys to my property whether I am am home or away. Even my
family knows to call him while I’m away on business or personal travel. Steve and his team focus on the least disruption and cost management for his clients.
